Budapest has a lot to offer and if you are visiting for a short time, you’ll probably want to make the best of it. Being the hospitable people that we are, here are a few tips on how to spend your time in Budapest the best way you can.
Million dollar parlour
5 Elements Spa
One of the best ways to start a day is by getting a great massage from Thai girls, whose firm hands and excellent techniques can only be topped by Chuck Norris – not that he is a masseur, but you get the point. Budapest is full of exclusive Thai massage places. One of them is 5 Elements Spa, where they’ll rub you down so well that by the end you’re going to feel like a million dollars.

This is a man’s world
The Barber Shop
If you not only want to feel but also look like a million dollars, you should pop into the Barber Shop for a traditional shave or a haircut or both. The beginnings of this traditional barber shop date back to the 1930’s but these shops were first opened by two Hungarian brothers in the summer of 2014. Being that they’re all about tradition, ladies cannot enter the shops, so there’ll be no „Oh, c’mon, hurry up, I wanna go shopping”. None of that. Just the soothing sound of the razors and the snipping of hair.

The sky is the limit
360 Bar
Most big cities have sky bars and they are all unique in their own way, just like Budapest’s 360 Bar that offers great food, great drinks, great music and a stunning view. You can see all of Budapest from the rooftop, including the Parisian style Andrassy Avenue, the Parliament, the Synagogue and the Basilica. 360 Bar opens at the end of April and closes in October, but during the season it is open until 2 AM at the weekends. Which in Budapest usually starts on Thursday.

Bathing at night
Rudas Thermal Bath
Hungary, and especially Budapest, is renowned for its historical baths and spas. There are a great number of outstanding baths you can choose from and Rudas fürdő (bath), which was built in the 16th century, stands out among them since on Fridays and Saturdays it is open at night. The late great Lou Reed sang in his song called ’Beginning To See The Light: ’wine in the morning and some breakfast at night, well, I’m beginning to see the light’. Now you can ’and bathing at night’ to that list.
Golfing the day away
Budapest Highland Golf Club
Hungary is definitely not the golfing capital of the world, but that shouldn’t stop you from playing golf in Budapest. Budapest Highland Golf Club offers excellent courses for pros as well as beginners, and they regularly hold tournaments. They also offer lessons for groups and individuals, for beginners and advanced players, too.

Daily exercise
Gold Biliárd
As your doctor may have told you countless times, it is important to do sports. Being on holiday should not be an excuse for skipping your regular work-out. That’s where Gold Biliárd, Hungary’s biggest billiard club comes in handy. It is a sports center after all, with 22 pool tables, 5 snooker tables and a rex table – only on the ground floor. Besides playing pool and snooker, you can also play darts and pinball machines, so you can get plenty of exercise.
