Have you ever wondered what life is really like for the dancers at 4Play Lounge? We managed to get an interview with one of the gorgeous girls who works there and she was happy to shed some light on the life of a stripper and what she really thinks of the job she does.
At the best strip club in Budapest you’ll find many stunning girls who just like to entertain and show off their skills every night. The ladies love to dance and are immensely proud of the jobs they do, giving the men (and women!) a spectacle they’ll never forget. So how does it all come together? One lovely lady gave us some answers to the questions we’ve always wanted to ask!
4Play Lounge: How long have you been working at 4Play Lounge?
Tünde: Five and a half years. I think February will be six years that I’ve been working here.
4Play Lounge: Then you like working here?
Tünde: Yes, very much!
4Play Lounge: Why did you decide to come to work at 4Play? Are you happy with your decision? What have your experiences been like?
Tünde: I worked abroad for a long time, 10 or 15 years, but then my daughter was born so I had to quit travelling. Plus I really think this is the only club in Hungary which offers an international standard of service and lives up to the internationally expected level provided by clubs abroad, especially in the northern European countries.
4Play Lounge: Could you elaborate a bit on what makes 4Play Lounge better than the other Hungarian striptease bars?
Tünde: Sure, anyone that comes in can see it. For example, they charge for exactly as much as a guest consumes, so there are no hidden costs that a guest doesn’t expect, and no one forces the customers to buy a drink or dance. The strippers are honest and dance for the entire period of time ordered by the guests. We aren’t expected to offer any kind of sexual services and we don’t! So the bar operates as an absolutely proper dancing space.
4Play Lounge: The 4Play Lounge Gentlemen’s Club offers many services to its guests: stage dances, private dances, show programmes, etc. Which one is your favourite? Which do you emphasise the most?
Tünde: I really enjoy working with my regular clients. I know and love them, and we can have a really pleasant conversation during each of our 30-60 minute private dances and talk about what’s been going on with each of us since we last met. I spend most of my time with our foreign guests in the VIP rooms since that’s where we’re able to drink, dance and talk, which is exactly what they are looking for.
4Play Lounge: In our last interview, Ági said that working here is like being a psychologist. Do you agree with that?
Tünde: Yes, it’s true! (laughs)
4Play Lounge: What was the funniest experience you have had at 4Play? You must have had one or two unforgettable experiences over the past six years that made you laugh!
Tünde: At our previous location, when we were still on Nagymező street, there was a shower in one of the VIP rooms where they guests would really let themselves go in almost a disturbing way. There was shower gel everywhere, people often slipped and fell, you practically had to shovel them out of the shower cabin. In that sense our new 8 square meter shower has a different vibe.
4Play Lounge: What makes an evening good and successful for you?
Tünde: When I’m working, I pay attention to how my colleagues act and perform, because I can learn a lot from them: what it’s advisable to do, and what’s not a good idea. Also, at closing time, I like to see who did how well for the night because it provides a good reference point if I can see the quantified results of the work they did. Of course I’m always the most satisfied when I finish at the top of the pile.
4Play Lounge: What is your strategy for winning over the guests?
Tünde: That depends on the guest. When I sit down next to a person, I can usually see what they’re looking for after only a couple of questions. Some people want conversation and to get to know someone over a couple of drinks, while others are trying to buy dances from as many girls as possible and ‘devour’ the enjoyment. So I always adapt to the needs of the customer.
4Play Lounge: How do you reconcile your private life with your workplace?
Tünde: If you’re asking about relationships, I always play it straight: I’m not ashamed of my profession. I think it’s important that this shouldn’t be a taboo. The club is really family-friendly, so if any problem arises concerning me or my daughter, they’re understanding and flexible in handling the situation. I can ask to work a different shift, or I can trade shifts with another girl. I don’t consider it a burden or a problem that I’m a striptease dancer.
4Play Lounge: How do you handle working late nights?
Tünde: When you’re 25 years old, you bounce back really quickly after not sleeping for a night. After three nights of working, you get a bit more tired, so I do my best to get to bed early during the week to get rested.
4Play Lounge: How do you stay in shape?
Tünde: It’s important to me to live a healthy and fit life. If I have time, I go to the gym at least three times a week for hot yoga. I also try to pay attention to my diet: I eat relatively little fat and carbohydrates, and I try to consume a lot of protein and vegetables. I was vegetarian for 10 years, and it felt great, but now I feel I’ve moved past that.
4Play Lounge: Have you run into a guest that wanted to take you out on a date at all costs? How do you handle those situations?
Tünde: I try to keep my work and my private life completely separate. One gentleman has been my returning customer for years, so our relationship is more like a friendship. We ate lunch together once, but it never went further than that. I’m happy to talk to customers, even about my private life, and I don’t keep it a secret that I’m in a relationship, but as a rule I don’t meet with them outside the club. On the other hand, it’s worked out great when in certain situations I’ve given out my Facebook details so customers can ask me directly when I’m working next.
4Play Lounge: What advice would you give to dancers just getting started, or to those who’d like to be more successful?
Tünde: I try to be very patient and accepting and focus on the customer as much as possible. I’m always thinking in the long term, so it isn’t my plan on any given night to squeeze as much money as possible out of the guests, but rather to form a good relationship with them. That’s why customers return, and if they enjoy themselves, they’ll come to me specifically. This is the most important thing for me. So I’m not just thinking of the next five minutes, especially when it comes to Hungarian customers.
