4Play Lounge likes to keep in with local and international holidays and Oktoberfest is no different. This year, we will be celebrating from 25-29 September 2019 and we would love you to join us! Germany’s delicious beer and delightful traditional costumes are just waiting for the festivities to begin!
Oktoberfest Past
The very first Oktoberfest was held in 1810, to celebrate the wedding between Crown Prince Ludwig of Bavaria and Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen. The local people were invited to take part by eating and drinking as much as they could, along with enjoying music, parades and horse racing. It was such a success that the Germans decided to stage the party every year (except in wartime), meaning that this will be the 185th Oktoberfest!
Oktoberfest Present
In modern times, Oktoberfest has become a folk festival lasting around 17 days. It includes fairground rides, games, live music from local bands and of course, traditional beer drinking. Served by lovely ‘wenches’ in dirndl costumes, the bigger-than-average glasses of beer will last you a while! If you’re not a beer lover, there are 15 different types of wine that are always available and served in the Weinzelt tent. Food is available throughout the festival, with Bratwurst (sausage), roast chicken, pretzels and gingerbread. You can also get coffee and pastries, all different types to suit everyone’s taste.
This will take place between 1-4 October 2019, in Budapest. It will be typically an agricultural fair, which will include 100 different types of local and international beers. The trade show will have plenty of food and beverages to feed everyone who visits, so don’t worry about anything running out!
Last year, 4Play celebrated Oktoberfest with many special offers on the beer, as well as over 40 gorgeous girls dressing up in traditional dirndl costumes. The club was decked out with typically German decorations in order to get into the spirit of the occasion and our girls choreographed some extra special dances for our clients.
This year will be an extravaganza and one not to be missed. The dirndl dresses will be making another appearance as they went down so well last year, our clients couldn’t get enough of those little numbers! Our gentleman’s club will be adorned with appropriate decorations to get that ‘German’ vibe, not to mention the huge jugs of beer available! Our ladies will be looking to top their performances from last year, so make sure you don’t miss out!
